    This pathway is designed for students who are seeking a more rigorous and challenging academic experience. It offers advanced courses and opportunities for independent research and critical thinking. Students on this pathway are encouraged to push their boundaries and excel in their chosen field of study

    Most GCSE grades 7, 8, 9

     

    APS usually 7.0+

    2 years of Sixth Form Study

    3 A facilitating A level courses

    Two work experience placements with at least 1 in person.

    4 x MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses)

    30 hours or more volunteering.

    Enrichment – which leads to the purchase of a provisional driving License

    Free choice on all courses, usually facilitating subjects such as;

    Physics

    Maths,

    Chemistry, Further Maths

    High A level outcomes (BBB or more)

    Competitive places at Russell Group University

    Oxford/Cambridge

    Level 4 Apprenticeship

    Degree Apprenticeship

    Mixed

     The traditional pathway follows a more conventional approach to education, focusing on a well-rounded curriculum. It provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that prepares students for further education or entry into the workforce.

    APS usually 5.5+

    2 years of Sixth Form Study

    3 Level 3 courses typically a range of A levels and vocational courses

    Work Experience

    3 x MOOC (Massive Open Online courses)

    20 hours or more volunteering.

    Enrichment – which leads to the purchase of a provisional driving licence

    Pretty much free choice. Might not be eligible for Pure Science and Maths courses.
