A levels – Students study a subject for 2 years and usually take 3 final exam papers at the end of Y13. For students good at exams 

Vocational courses – these can be BTEC’s or CTEC’s – Again students study a subject for 2 years, however the courses are broken into units. Some units are coursework based some are exam based. The focus is on coursework, these are ideal for those students who find exams difficult, but thrive with coursework.
